01 Mar No Business Cards, No Problem
I occasionally hear someone worrying about the fact that they don’t have any business cards. Often times, this is because they just started a new job and simply have not gotten them yet. My advice? Yes, you still need to have business cards, but do not let this slow you down!
I am always amazed at the people who hand out their business cards left and right and then wonder why their phone is not ringing off the hook. It is actually far more important to get THEIR business card so that you can follow up with them. Honestly, if you are going to a networking event, I would rather you go with zero business cards in your pocket than leave an event and have no one else’s cards in your pocket.
Then, following up is KEY! It does you even less good if you collect a bunch of cards and don’t follow up. I’ll touch on that topic soon!
